.net/Azure/Unity3D/Bot Framework solutions architect/developer
I post to;
- record something that I’ll know I’ll be saying, “now how did I do that?”
- I’ve battled with something I want to share my conclusions to help others
- ditto plus I really want a better solution, so please comment if you have a better solution for anything I post.
Hi,
i am David. I am from Germany and i work as a developer as well.
in your tweet from November 19th you said
“I think Visual Studio has gone all Dirty Harry on me, whilst getting from TFS… ‘Value cannot be null. Parameter name: pUnk'”
did you ever find out why that keept happening or did you find a way to keep it from happening ?
recently this problem ocurred more and more frequently.
I’d be very thankful for any hint you could provide to iluminate this issue
Sorry to hear that. I believe the issue is related to files that have become out of sync with TFS. E.g. if the file was changed when offline. Make sure you have the latest version from TFS, may be try using Get Latest->Specific Version and check overwrite if newer.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to respond. I figured out that restarting visual studio fixes the isse. Refreshing the involved project makes it appear normal but tfs binding seems to be kind of broken anyways.
If i figure out the cause or a fix i’ll drop a line.
Yours Sincerely
David
